Rules Governing Play

Golf Carts
Tee Times

  1. The Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland, are to be followed.  

  2. All landscaped areas are considered lateral water hazards unless otherwise marked.   The boundary of these areas start where the cut of the bermuda grass (Tifton) ends.  

    • There is no relief (Free drop) if your ball, stance, or swing interfere with any immovable obstruction such as sprinkler heads inside these areas.

    • However, you are still allowed to play your ball inside these areas but you should not ground your club as this is a hazard area.

    • If you do not intend to play your ball, or is lost inside the areas, you may drop a ball under a penalty of one stroke outside the landscape area using your last point of entry as the basis for your drop.

  3. To speed up play, the use of a " putting ball " once on the green is permitted  except during tournament play.  Players are encouraged to " putt through " once they make the first putt from on the green, taking care not to leave spike marks  in the line of another player's putt.  

  4. All divots must be sanded and all ball marks repaired either by the caddies or the players.  It is however, a player's responsibility to ensure that these are done.

  5. After playing out of sand traps, these should be raked by the Caddy or the player.It is always the players responsibility to ensure that these are done.

  6. The golf course is available to members and their guests from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM under rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Directors.  These hours may be changed subject to prevailing conditions.  

  7. A player will not be allowed in the golf course without a caddy except for registered junior golfers (Jungolfers).  Junior Golfers however, must ensure that divots are sanded, ball marks repaired and sand traps raked.  

  8. Caddies are not employees of the Club. They are however bound to adhere to  Club rules and regulations set forth for them to acquire accreditation to caddy in the Club.

 

II.     Use of Motorized Golf Carts

Members may provide for themselves and use motorized golf carts at the Club, subject to space availability in case of storage requirements, subject to the following rules and regulations:

                

  1. A concessionaire manages storage of golf carts.  A maintenance and storage contract approved by the Club shall be signed by both the golf cart owner and the concessionaire outlining the maintenance and storage services to be provided.  

  2. When posted, carts must stay on the cart paths at all times. Under regular conditions, the 90 degree rule is enforced, i.e. stay on the cart path until even with your ball; then cross the fairway straight to your ball. After making your shot, return directly back to the cart path.  

  3. Under no circumstance should the golf carts be allowed within 30 yards around  the putting greens or at least not beyond the lines or markers prohibiting the entry of golf carts.  Likewise, when playing from the tees golf carts must be  left on the cart paths.  

  4. Only 3 persons who shall either be cart owners or co-players may ride at any  given time while driving on the fairway.   

  5. Caddies and umbrella personnel are prohibited from riding golf carts at all times within the Club premises.  

  6. Rental carts are available at P 770.00 per 6 hours.  Carts must be picked up  and dropped off at the designated cart rental area.  There will be a P 50.00/hour  charge for carts not returned within 6 hours.  

  7. Any breach of the above enumerated rules governing golf cart use shall subject the member/golf cart user to some sanctions that may lead to the suspension of the privilege to use the golf cart.  All member/golf cart owners are enjoined therefore to carefully read the rules to avoid any violation.  

  8. As necessary, the Board will make additional rules regarding the use of  motorized golf carts in the light of actual experience.  

III.    Starting Times, Priorities and Special Provisions

  1.  When making tee-time reservations, members may sign-up on the Starting Time  Reservation Sheet in the Front desk on a first come first served basis.  If unable  to sign-up personally, members may request the receptionist to sign-up for them   by calling before the projected game (no more than 3 days in advance).  Any group that is not ready to tee-off at its posted starting time loses its place  and is automatically relegated to the next free starting time, except when prior arrangements to exchange starting times with another group has been made and  prior advice has been given at the Front Desk.  

  2. Group Priorities.  Threesomes and Foursomes shall at all times be given priority in the course.  

                  a)    Fivesomes are allowed under the following guidelines:  

    MASTERS COURSE

                Weekday           2 members/3 guests           

                Weekends/Holidays

                      6:30-9:02   3 members/2 guests           

                      9:02-12:00  2 members/3 guests                 

                      after 12:00 3 members/2 guests

         

    LEGENDS COURSE

                Weekday           2 members/3 guest

                Weekends/Holidays

                      6:30-9:02   3 members/2 guests        

                      9:02-12:00  2 members/3 guests     

                      after 12:00 2 members/3 guests

  3. Fivesomes must have 2 golf carts and a total handicap of not more than 90. It is mandatory for fivesomes to allow players behind to play through  whenever there is an open hole ahead.  

  4. Second Nine Holes.  Priority in the course on Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday  mornings:  

                  a)    Players who have completed 9 holes play have priority in the course.
                  b)    Players starting their round may tee-off in Tee # 10 provided they  are allowed by the Golf Director and do not interfere with or delay the play of those who have completed or are about to complete their 9th hole.
                 c)    Players stopping for refreshments between 9s' and at the drink houses in the course must be ready to tee-off as soon as the group in front is out of range; otherwise they lose their place in the course.
